Worldwide Technical Officers introduced for 2022 World Championships – IWBF
A complete of 57 Worldwide Technical Officers (32 referees, six referee supervisors, seven classifiers, six Sport Commissioners, and a six-member Match Technical Committee) representing 31 nations, will facilitate the secure and honest supply of the 2022 IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships.
Match Technical Committee
The Match Technical Committee (TTC) can be led by the Technical Director, Charlie Bethel (GBR) supported by the Assistant Technical Director, Don Perriman (AUS). They’re joined by Cristian Roja (ITA), Juan Reyes Magallanes (MEX), Craig Moorgas (RSA) and Dirk Cossaer (BEL) on the TTC.

Appearing as referee supervisors can be Matt Wells (AUS), Sergio Giordano (CAN), Edwin Wallaart (NED) Charles Saunders (RSA), Jorge Bestilleiro (ARG), Max Kindervater (GER).
Chair of the IWBF Classification Fee, Regina Costa (POR), will tackle the position because the Championships’ Chief Classifier overseeing the Classification Panel of six: Alberto Cairo (AFG), Beatriz Garcia Hernando (ESP), Lisa Chaffey (AUS), Anne Lachance (CAN), Gabriela Deda Erbenova (CZE), Kees van Breukelen (NED).
The Sport Commissioners can be Ricardo De Souza (BRA), Taichi Nishimura (JPN), Ang Kean Koo (MAS), Chompoo Wachirasrisukanya (THA), Stefania Marson (ITA), Andrew Schoeman (RSA).
The 2022 World Championships was initially scheduled for November 2022 however was postponed till 9 – 20 June 2023. Hosts United Arab Emirates will welcome over 300 worldwide wheelchair basketball gamers representing 16 males’s and 12 girls’s groups to compete over twelve days of competitors on the showcase occasion.
